Acknowledgements

As with any large project, the list of people that should be thanked is enormous. Though this is by no means a complete list, I'd like to extend special thanks to the people, groups and organizations below.

The development of Private Thoughts and Other Lies was supported in large part by a grant from the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts. Without their generous support of my work, this latest stage presentation may never have come to fruition. For the support through the grant as well as the countless hours of meetings, emails and phonecalls by which they continue to support me and my work, I would like to thank Aimee Petrin, Arnie Malina, Andrea Rogers, & Tracey Gilbert. Kelly Thomas and Christina Weakland were crucial to my use of studio space. And I would be nowhere without the incredible support, flexibility and creative feedback of Brian Johnson. The Flynn staff are an incredible team and together foster a truly creative and productive artistic environment.

I was lucky to find two incredible dance instructors willing to work in a creatively unorthodox way with me. Shirley McAdams is responsible for introducing me to tango and later to the dancer - Ethan Plunkett - who worked tirelessly with me to choreograph, enhance and fine tune not only my own tango style but also that of the routine itself. Thank you Ethan. You encouraged me to tackle my greatest fear.

A small group of unique individuals helped me to vet my magical ideas and provided me with resources, insight and experience that would otherwise be inaccessible. Loren Tindall has always listened and provided feedback - even when I won't stop with the questioning. Steve Taubman has, for years now, listened to my creative ideas and given me his insight. And Robert E. Neale constantly supports my progress and new endeavors with his incredible feedback born of years of experience. It's an honor that on his birthday, he chose to see my show. Thank you.

To Daniel, Glenn, Maggie and the rest of the clan - thanks for listening, watching and allowing me to experiment through all these years. Your ability and willingness to "see it again" for the hundredth time - and still act surprised - has not gone unnoticed.

I wouldn't be anywhere if it were not for the encouragement and support of my lovely fiance, Toni-Lee Sangastiano who, from the very beginning, encouraged me to follow my dreams and take the chances that have led me here today.
